Ramses Prashad from ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 7 is a previously married man. The 35-year-old divorced his ex-wife four years ago, and Ramses now claims he’s finally healed from the heartache of his past relationship.
Despite Marissa’s mom Vanessa, along with fans, not buying into his maturity, the reality star insists his first marriage ended with a split because the couple “grew in different directions” and it was best for both parties to go their separate ways.
We’re unlikely to hear the story from his ex-wife’s perspective, but if we’re to take his word, the former spouses started really well, but things began to get complicated deep into their marriage. The more time passed, they drifted further apart, and emotionally they were no longer together. Separation was inevitable once they couldn’t be on the same page anymore.
‘Love Is Blind’ Season 7: Fans Want Ramses’ Ex-Wife to Expose Him!
How much of the truth Ramses is saying is anybody’s guess, but Marissa’s mom saw right through him when they met. Vanessa called him out for portraying himself as a saint and a savior when recalling his previous relationship. Initially a fan-favorite, the majority of ‘Love Is Blind’ viewers reckon his gimmick is falling off and we’re finally getting to see the real Ramses.
One user said, “He’s one of those guys that calls all his exes ‘crazy.’” To which, another user replied, “Oh you know it! I’m just waiting for his Ex-Wife to pop up and dish what the real Ramses is like!”
In the latest batch of episodes, this South Asian-Hispanic man is facing deserved criticism from all corners, especially for the way he prioritizes his needs over his partner’s and his blatant disregard for mutual consent and bodily autonomy. Additionally, he is not doing himself any favor with his ridiculous hypocrisy and performative feminism. People are starting to see his real self, and while he looked like a quirky guy at first, he’s turned full-on “weird” following his engagement to Marissa George.
Most viewers don’t like Ramses anymore, and you can’t honestly blame them. The guy is clearly putting on an act when he pretends to be woke. The way he got annoyed when he learned that he needed to use protection due to Marissa’s health issues was already a massive red flag. But he somehow took it up a notch when Marissa brought up cancer and how men cheat on their sick wives, only to respond so casually like, “That’s an excellent point. Now, I need to reconsider this relationship. My truth is valid and that’s what matters the most.” Of course, he did not say this quote word for word, but that’s exactly what he meant and implied.
Some fans have a theory that Ramses is doing this deliberately because he does not want to get married, so he’s being subtle with his actions to ensure the wedding gets called off while he does not look too bad on TV. If this is indeed true, he’s doing a terrible job at that—everybody hates him now for how insufferable he’s become.
Is Ramses Telling the Truth About the Way His Marriage With Ex-Wife Ended?
It was quite telling when Ramses said he’d divorce Marissa if she went back to the military. There’s a fair argument to be made that Ramses was actually the bad guy in his previous marriage.
One Twitter user made an interesting point:
The fact that his entire family still talks to the ex wife and not him is quite interesting. Something about him gives Jekyll Hyde in that he’s hyper aware of his public image.
Another Twitter user summed up his character traits perfectly:
Ramses strikes me as an Intolerant, arrogant, judgemental child.
Some viewers believe Ramses is the kind of guy who would not hesitate to leave his partner just because she loves the baby more than him. As funny as it sounds, that’s not really an outrageous claim if you watched ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 7 past Episode 2. With each new episode, he’s gotten progressively worse, and fans can’t help but call him a “disgrace.”
The above tweet, especially, sums up the kind of person Mr. Prashad is in a nutshell. The way he indirectly told her this would be a problem and made absolutely no effort to reassure her angered many fans. On top of it, he does not want to use any protection while they’re doing it, but he also does not want kids for 2-3 years. To make matters worse, Marissa said she did not want to take birth control pills, and he couldn’t care less for her feelings.
Another valid criticism of Ramses is he’s the perfect embodiment of a “typical leftist man,” who carries no genuine empathy. He appears to be someone who only takes pride in staying at a higher moral ground just to tell others he’s right. The way he talks about women’s rights, but disregards everything he preaches the moment things become inconvenient to him couldn’t be more toxic.
Demanding his sick girlfriend to be intimate while he wouldn’t even use protection despite her request is appalling when you think about it. For someone who’s supposed to be emotionally intelligent and sensitive, he’s one scary individual. As one fan put it:
We don’t know the name, age, or whereabouts of his ex-wife, but it wouldn’t surprise us in the slightest if the reason she left was revealed to be his unrealistic intimate expectations. Marissa, girl, you better run while you can!
