Chloe Malle's Family: Meet Her Husband Graham and 2 Kids

Chloe Malle, the newly named Head of Editorial Content at Vogue, isn’t just making waves in the fashion world; she’s also nurturing a beautiful family life behind the scenes. Married to her husband, Graham McGrath Albert, since 2015, Chloe often shares glimpses of their life together in Manhattan, where they’re raising their two young kids and even their dog, Lloyd. When she’s not redefining style journalism, you might find her assisting with Lego builds or unwinding with BritBox.

Despite being the daughter of Hollywood icons Candice Bergen and Louis Malle, Chloe has carved her own path with grace and humility. She openly acknowledges her privilege as a “proud nepo baby,” but she’s also demonstrated a fierce work ethic and dedication to her craft. From her early days at The New York Observer to climbing the ranks at Vogue, Chloe has always been driven to prove that she’s more than just her famous name.

Marriage & Family Life

Chloe Malle and Graham Albert tied the knot in July 2015 at her family’s picturesque country estate, Le Coual, near Cahors, France. The location held deep personal meaning for Chloe, who spent summers there throughout her childhood. In an interview with Vogue, she reflected on the decision, saying, “As soon as I started thinking about getting married at Le Coual, everything felt so natural and easy to imagine.”

Graham McGrath Albert, the man who won her heart, is no less accomplished. He serves as vice president for the securitized credit investment team at MatlinPatterson, an asset management firm in New York. The couple met in September 2009 at an Ethiopian New Year’s dinner hosted by a mutual friend. Their connection was instant, and four years later, Graham proposed during a vacation in Santa Barbara with a stunning 1920s Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring.

Today, their lives revolve around their two children. Their son, Louis, was born in May 2020, and their daughter, Alice, arrived in April 2022. Chloe has spoken candidly about the joys and challenges of motherhood, noting that being a mom of two is “the most time-consuming occupation at the moment.” She adds, “I’ve decided to embrace the fact that they’re going to take most of my time and my logistical mental space.”

Career & Legacy

Chloe Malle’s appointment as Vogue’s Head of Editorial Content in September 2025 marks a milestone in her already impressive career. She’s been with the publication since 2011, starting as Social Editor and eventually taking on roles like Contributing Editor and Editor of Vogue.com. Under her leadership, Vogue.com has seen significant growth, with direct traffic doubling and record engagement around major events like the Met Gala.

What makes Chloe’s story even more fascinating is the art-imitates-life twist: her mother, Candice Bergen, once played the editor-in-chief of Vogue on S*x and the City. Chloe has joked about the “uncanny career parallels” between herself and Carrie Bradshaw, noting that she too started her career at The New York Observer, where the original column that inspired S*x and the City was published.

Despite her family’s fame, Chloe Malle remains grounded and focused on her vision for Vogue. She plans to foster “a more direct, smaller, healthier audience” by delivering “original, witty, irreverent, and joyful points of view.” And with Anna Wintour still down the hall as her mentor, Chloe is poised to lead Vogue into its next chapter, both in print and digitally.
