Parker Valby was born in Pennsylvania, on September 27, 2022, making her a Virgo. She later moved to Tampa, Florida. Valby was initially a competitive swimmer during her time at East Lake High School in Flordia before she decided to switch to track and field cross-country. It’s worth nothing, she was not immediately drawn to pursue track and field because it meant she had to give up lacrosse.
The Olympian was the Florida state champion in high school, setting the state’s all-time record as a junior. However, she was unable to compete during her senior year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parker competes for the University of Florida, winning multiple NCAA titles, including the 5000m and 10000m. Valby made history at the 2024 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, breaking the collegiate record in the 5000 meters, on top of winning the 3000 meters.
