While there are no public records of any significant illness in Carville’s life, one aspect that he has openly discussed is his experience with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). He was diagnosed with late-onset ADHD, with symptoms only appearing clearer in his adult years. James, however, reckons, his ADHD has been of some help in his political career, making him easier to adapt to the rapid pace of politics.

From Campaign King to Media Maverick: The Dynamic Life of James Carville
