Brittany Wisniewski, a popular contestant on Season 7 of ‘Love Is Blind,’ is not your average woman. She might be standing out for her romantic journey right now, but there’s much more to her than meets the eye. Beyond her time on the show, the reality star has made meaningful contributions as an environmentalist and author.
As a co-founder of Hands On HIIT, Brittany has led efforts to improve Baltimore’s environment, including organizing community clean-up events that have successfully removed over 10,000 pounds of debris from local parks and waterways. Her dedication and commitment to building healthier communities have earned her recognition from the Baltimore City Council.
On the Netflix show, Brittany had a short engagement with art dealer Leo Braudy, but his unstable feelings couldn’t help but strain their relationship, and they ended up breaking up during a trip to Miami. After her time on reality TV, she started connecting with fans through Cameo, offering personalized video messages for different occasions.
Love Is Blind: Brittany’s “Keeping Well” Book Is a Must-Have for Cancer Patients
Brittany Wisniewski has written a book titled ‘Keeping Well: An Anti-Cancer Guide to Remain in Remission,’ published in October 2020. After her mother passed away from Stage 4 breast cancer, she became motivated to pursue a career in cancer prevention and turned herself into a detoxification specialist.
The personal loss inspired Brittany to create a guide to help cancer survivors regain control of their health and prevent recurrence. In her book, she shares practical tips for unfortunate patients on how to lower their cancer risk, detox their bodies, and recover after treatment. The ‘Love Is Blind’ star wished she could have given her mom this book during her first battle with cancer, knowing what she knows now as a detoxification specialist and plant-based nutrition expert.
Speaking in an interview with Difference Press, Brittany revealed:
It was her (mom’s) second battle with breast cancer—she had it the first time when I was in second grade. This is the book I wish I could have given her back then. Now, as a detox specialist and someone certified in plant-based nutrition, I can look back and pinpoint all the cancer-causing factors in her life, from her diet to her emotions.
The 33-year-old continued,
If she’d had this book, maybe she could have identified those factors, eliminated them, and possibly improved her quality of life or even prevented the cancer from coming back. This book is for cancer survivors who want to take control of their health and never fear cancer again.
As Brittany mentioned, the book aims to target cancer survivors who want to improve their health, reduce cancer risk, and never live in fear of the disease returning. It addresses factors like diet and emotional wellness, helping survivors take proactive steps to improve their quality of life.
Brittany Wisniewski Shakes off Self-Doubt About Her Book While Spearheading “Keep Well” Non-profit
In the same interview with Difference Press, Brittany Wisniewski was asked how she overcomes the fear that her book might not be good enough, to which she responded: “That’s definitely a fear I’ve faced. There’s been a lot of self-doubt along the way. When it comes to writing a book, you just have to push through that fear. You’ll never feel good enough for everyone, but you are good enough for your target audience. Everyone has something to offer, and everyone can help someone else. So, you really have to let go of that fear and focus on how you can make a difference.”
Meanwhile, the book is not the only thing Brittany has going. Prior to publishing ‘Keeping Well,’ she started the non-profit ‘Keep Well,’ which helps cancer patients with holistic care. Both the book and the organization share a common mission: to empower cancer survivors with comprehensive, all-round care, focusing on cancer prevention and post-treatment recovery.
Brittany’s ‘Keeping Well’ book has received a lot of praise for reflecting the heart of her non-profit. It provides straightforward advice on detoxing, lifestyle changes, and wellness strategies, all aimed at helping cancer survivors stay in remission and live healthier lives after treatment.
