Kieran Culkin, best known for his role as Roman Roy on HBO’s hit show Succession, might play a chaotic, childless billionaire on screen, but in real life, he’s a devoted husband and father. Married to Jazz Charton since 2013, Culkin shares two children with his British-born wife: daughter Kinsey Sioux, 5, born on September 13, 2019, and son Wilder Wolf, 3, born on August 17, 2021.

Kieran and Jazz’s love story began in 2012 at a bar in New York City. Charton, originally from London, had moved to New York in 2010. At the time, she was working in the music department of an advertising agency. Their first interaction? Unforgettable.
According to Kieran, he approached her and, upon hearing her name, responded with, “J-A-Z-Z, like the music? Well, that’s f—ing stupid.” Somehow, that line worked, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. The couple didn’t waste time and eloped in Iowa on June 22, 2013, during a road trip. Their impromptu wedding took place in the middle of a storm, making for an unforgettable experience.
Six years later, on September 13, 2019, they welcomed their first child, Kinsey Sioux. Jazz, ever candid, shared on Instagram that Kinsey was born on a Friday the 13th during a full moon, after 25 hours of labor at home. By the time they reached the hospital, she was too far along for pain medication—an experience that led her to swear, “If I ever do this again, I want ALL THE DRUGS.”
Their daughter, affectionately nicknamed “Zissou,” has since become a little force of nature. In 2024, Kieran revealed that for Halloween, their family planned to dress as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Kinsey had a last-minute change of heart and decided she wanted to be Gwen Stacy, aka Ghost Spider. Kieran, ever the doting dad, scrambled to put together her new costume, even trying to temporarily dye her hair pink.

He jokingly recalled how they had a whiteboard with potential names but couldn’t agree on one. Eventually, they circled back to the name Jazz had wanted from the start. “My wife wanted Wolf. She was fighting hard for Wolf,” Kieran said. The struggle was real, but in the end, Wilder Wolf it was.

Life as a father of two has been both rewarding and chaotic for Kieran. In 2021, he confessed in an interview that their New York apartment was so small that Kinsey had the only proper bedroom, while he and Jazz slept on a mattress on the floor, with baby Wilder presumably in a crib nearby. “I don’t even sit down when I eat anymore,” he quipped.
Despite the challenges, fatherhood has become Kieran’s greatest joy. He’s admitted that he never planned on having children, but now he can’t imagine life without them. “It was never something we considered until we did it. Now it is quite actually the greatest—way better than I could have imagined.”
Parenthood hasn’t stopped Kieran’s career, though he tries not to be away from his little ones for too long. While filming in Poland, he shared that he couldn’t stand being apart from them for more than two days. “I don’t like being away from them for more than two days at a time, and it’s not practical for me to have them there the whole time,” he said, adding that he was working on convincing Jazz to bring the kids to visit.
And visit they did. In 2023, Jazz posted adorable photos of their children exploring Logan Roy’s apartment on the set of Succession. “The alternate reality Roman where he’s a dad but still an a*sehole (♥️ ),” she wrote in the caption.
Kieran has made no secret of wanting to expand his family. During the 75th Emmy Awards in January 2024, when he won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, he used the moment to plead with his wife: “You said maybe if I win!” Jazz laughed from the audience, clearly amused but noncommittal.
Then, at the 2025 Oscars, after winning Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, he took it up a notch. He reminded Jazz of a deal she supposedly made, stating, “I will give you four when you win an Oscar.” Holding up his trophy, he turned to her and said, “Let’s get cracking on those kids.
